You know...every once in a while you find that "special" cat.....at this time I DO have one like that. He is very lotal, would protect me above himself, and does soo sooo much morethan any dog I know ever has...
SOOO my point here is...although most cats are lazy (lol) and are just their for feeding, cleaning litter, and petting....My MEOWZER is the most different cat I have EVER EVER had own me.

Tizzo. I dissagree to a certain extent... I have 2 cats as you know. one is very antisocial, only wants to come around on his terms, but Blaze, my orange cat. comes when you call him, knows the words treat or wanna eat. And loves affection and loved to be petted and loves his belly rubs.
And im not even a cat lover. the wifey is. lol

I started to read it and stop. My old dying dog right now is on palliative care and I will show him the best time of his life... even though I may not have a month left.

that's the best you can do. My dog is turning 8 this september... hes already got arthritis, pancreas and spleen problems, looks like his eyes are already turning blue, and is acting like his hearing is going :( i think all this is making him insanely grumpy, and there's nothing the vets seem to be able to do. he actually bit me for the first time in his life... i'm hoping he's not in insane pain (he's on metacam for the arthitis) but i don't know what to do for him. just gotta give him extra belly rubs and ear scratches and keep him unbothered by the 16mo that chases him hoping for some fun with the big furball... but when i read this, i was like omg, how can someone just give up a dog that's been there forever

I had to go hug my dog, again, after reading the post. It makes me so angry and so sad to think about how people treat dogs, as if they are a piece of furniture. I rescued a dog from the shelter about 17 years ago and I swear that until the day he died at the age of 15, he never forgot that i was the one who adopted him, a couple of days from being put down. because he was unwanted. My new brown dog is a shelter dog too, and she was pulled from a high kill shelter a day before she was scheduled to be put down-a one year old cute, friendly, housebroken, spayed, up to date on her shots girl dog who was abandoned by a "family" who moved and just turned her out. How many other dogs are out there like mine? Good dogs, lost and abandonded, thrown away by people, never to know the security of a forever home where they are loved and cared for for the rest of thier days. You know, all they want is some love, a little food, some love, a warm place to sleep, a little more love, and a family to belong to for the rest of thier days. And some people can't even give them that.
