Jedao 55w uv sterilizer help

I got my sterilizer in the mail today. Hooked it up and plugged the bulb in ( which doesn't plug in very tight kinda loose) and nothing. I pull it back out and it has a little white film on the bottom of it. I plug it in with the bulb out and hit the switch and the bulb blows. Do you think its a bad bulb or is the thing just junk. It's all I can afford right now so I can't buy nothing else. I just ordered another bulb I hope it don't blow too.

Sounds like you had a bad bulb. Probably got cracked during shipping. The new bulb should fix it. Just make sure everything is nice and tight when you put it together... but not too tight.
