Joe's Juice and LTA's

I'm having an outbreak of Majano in my tank, and I want to eradicate them with Joe's Juice. However, I also have a large LTA that I don't want to kill. I know I shoot the Joe's Juice directly onto the majano with a syringe. But if the residual gets into the water, will it hit the LTA and harm it? If so, would it be better to just hit the majano with boiling water and pluck them out individually with tweezers or some other tool?

How big of a tank?
The bigger the tank the more water you have to play with. I'd say start small and slowly eradicate the problem. Run carbon as well.
