Did you consider sharks at one point in time?
I love the lion fish. Its great that he has a nice big home to swim around in
Yeah... I had an eppaulette shark for almost 3 years in my prior tank. I found him a home in a 1200 gallon lagoon when I thought he got too big for my tank. Then when I upgraded I decided that I'd only get one more bottom dweller (already had the yellow ray), and I always wanted a blue dot.
The lion is pretty much the boss of the tank.

Not really... when I had my idols I fed them live clams, cracked open from the grocery store, and my rays weren't really interested. I'm not sure that these types of clams are a part of the diet of these rays... actually I don't think they'd be able to eat them if they wanted to.

Well I did pick up a clam yesterday. It made it about 2 hours in my tank. The rays had no interest in the thing, but my butterfly tried to eat it. Oh well, anyone want a really nice crocea??

Gotta tell you crimzy, I have been a long time reader of this post. I thought I would finally post, for a bump, gotta show the love. Amazing tank, makes me want to buy a different house that can support a 400gallon. If only my wife was more understanding.

Just negotiate with her... my wife knows that I can't complain too much about her shopping addiction.

That is one sweet tank crimzy!

Thanks...

It's been a wild ride with this tank so far. I am not planning on adding any new fish any time soon (or maybe not at all), so I"m just kind of thinking about where to go now with the tank. The clam didn't work out. My zoos and shrooms are doing great. I may just fill the tank with various types of shrooms and zoos. I am getting a small piece of monti cap that broke off in someone else's tank.

Nothing new to update... I'll take some new pics in the next couple of days. Same fish... no additions, no losses. My dussimier is growing very quickly.
Having trouble keeping certain corals that are supposed to be hardy. My leather and candy canes are withering away. But the zoos, shrooms, kenya tree and GSP are doing great.
