Lace rock in SW ????

Can you use lace rock in your SW tank? A lady in my town had some cycled Lace rock (looks like lava rock) for real cheap. She claims it can be used and will get Coralene algae on it.

I'm a little skeptical so i thought I'd ask. Is it good, bad, or ok. Thanks

Lace rock is fine to use, it will become live and accumulate coraline just like any other base rock over time
