LaMotte Calcium test kit.

Does anyone have this test kit and is it the same as a Salifert for the readings? Is it the same because the test kit says Calcium Hardness test kit. First of all you have to have good lighting to see the color. I am getting a 800+ reading which is totally wrong.

LaMotte Calcium test kit.
I have the LaMotte Calcium test kit and don't use it anymore. It is the most pain in the rear of kits. Did you dilute the 1mL sample tank water with 12.9mL distilled water per the saltwater side of the instuctions and multiply your result by 5.16. It's a freshwater test kit adapted for saltwater IMO(dilute with distilled water for salt). Salifert is far easier to use for CA. The LaMotte Alk kit is very easy to use.
