Light acclimation

Well my JBJ ballast on my 24 gallon sometime over the weekend gave out. I went to the lfs to see if the workers there could help me fix it, and they find out its my ballast and not my lights that are messed up. Well i dont know how long my lights been out since i was out of town so i just bought a new light fixture. Its a Coralife 20in 95 watt light fixture. This is about a 23 watt difference than the old JBJ hood. Anyways i get the fixture on at about 9 last night and turned it on for about 10 minutes just so see how it looks. This afternoon or right now my lights are on but my corals dont look so good especially my hammer, frogspawn, and toadstool which are near the top. What should i do? Is there such a thing as light acclimation?

Yes, start with a few hours a day so you don't shock your corals and at the same time avoid an algae bloom. Increase hours as days go by.
