I am thinking of upgrading my lights on my 75 gallon FO. I was wondering the advantages of a smartlite from costomsealife over an ordinary double strip with one actinic blue and one daylite bulb.

If that is what is in your price range,,,Then it will be OK.But PC bulbs really don't produce a GOOD BLUE.IMO you would be better off with daylight PC's and regular flo's for the blue....
