Live Sand

I'm about to get my reef tank up and running and had a question abut live sand. I have been told by some store employees that you can put play sand in your tank untill yout tank is established and then to fill in the rest with live sand after that. My question is this. Should I do what the employee said or should I just go ahead and fill the bottom of my tank with all live sand when it's established? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. You can get that "Southdown" sand and then seed it with like 20 pounds of Arag-Alive and save some money. I did mine with Aragamax and Arag-Alive fiji pink.

Put them both in at the same time. Dead sand goes on the bottom.

Put the live sand in. It will healp jump start the biological cycle.
