as you see from the pics ive lost quit a bit of coraline growth!
and i was wondering if these types of star fish might be the ones eating it all up?
my perms. are
PH-7.9-8.0 i use a IV type dripline from my RODI system to keep the lvl always @ a constant

ALK- 3.20 meq/L
CALCIUM- HIGH!-530ppm im working on lowering it
MAGNESIUM-1350ppm
AMMONIA-0
PHOS-0
NITRATE-0
the thing is i know my cal. is high but the other readings are ok except may raise my mag. to 1400?
the other possibility would be i need to get me some new lights which they are on there way im going to phoenix MH's and my other lighting is T5's which i ordered new ones of these also
i know how we all like as much information in the beginning as we can get so there you go
opinions opinions here come the opinions! lol

I have alot of small stars like that, but not any coraline being eaten. I had a couple purple urchins that left rows of coraline eaten like that. Do you have any urchins?

I dont think those stars are a problem I have tons of them, harmless they are. Your calcium is high so I would rule that out and you replaced your bulbs so its not low wattage thats doing it, hmm... Have any limpets? I have a bunch here n there that eat my coraline on the walls.

Do a google search, they look like tiny grey pyramids with holes in the top. But even soon I have a lot of them and still have plenty of coraline.
