mandrin

Sorry do not have a pic, but When I was leaving for work tonight I noticed that my mandrin had, like spider webs on half of his body and covering 1 eye. It did not seem to be effecting him while swimming. Will it stress him out to much to try and catch him and take it off. The web came from a brown tube that started to grow on my live rock. The tube is about an inch long and the web comes out of the top.
Any help would be great.
Will try and get picture tommorrow and post.
