Mixing Question

When I mix my water for a water change do I need to have a heater in it or could I, when I pour it in, put the water in my tank drip acclimation style so that it is a very little change in temperature?

Specific gravity measures differently based on temperatures.
This is why you want to check the salinity right before you initiate a water change.

I checked it and it was at 1.023. So do I need a heater when mixing my salt if I put it into my tank drip aclimation style?
