mixing salts

I just bought some instant ocean salt, and I wanted to know if I could mix it in the same container as my red sea?

how big is the container? Do you have any red sea salt already mixed in the container?

yes. some people here mix 2 different brands together to get proper mineral content.

is there a reason you're switching from red sea to IO?

yes there is some red sea in the container, but not enough to do a water change or I would've finished it off. Just a little experiment, nothing wrong with Red Sea. Just tested the water and still perfect params, wanna see the difference in corals in a couple water changes.

you may want to try reef crystals, they're made by IO but more reef balanced
yeah as long as you werent avoidind red sea for a specific reason I say go 4 it

I'll see what happens, so far the the IO is doing good the only difference I see is now I have to dose a little calcium to keep it at 400.
