I have a frag of red monti that I have had for awhile and is growing quite well. I just noticed a white patch on the coral. What could cause this and should I do anything?
Thanks!

I have a purple capricornis that has done this....it had a small white spot in the center, and then it just colored back up.....Just recently a piece of salt creep landed on an edge of it, and it has whitened again....and it is also coloring back up
SOOOO...I did nothing, and all turned out okay :)

It is at the center. Two days ago, I started turning my lights on an hour earlier from 7 hours of exposure to 8. Could that be the reason?

I will post pictures in the morning...I would say 2-3 cm in diameter...I read on other forums that the light change could cause this...I just don't want to delay too long and lose the whole coral.
