overflow box hosing question

Hey guys I just started putting my 40bf together and my hose going from the overflow bow is 6ft,which is like 2ft longer then I need is that going to affect it any?

Shouldn't be a huge deal, no. Is it the drain hose or return hose?

I wouldn't sweat it unless you just want to shorten it. It won't hurt anything.

Ok I was worried that it might affect the flow rate

That typically applies to the return hose. The longer the hose the more pressure the pump has to push against.
