quick ? does anyone not use the sponges in the hang on back overflow

just curious on what other people were doin i just took them off and found like 20 baby snail shells so i think i will b leaving them off for awhile so this way theres no traps for anything

gotcha i also took thm out cause of the pods in my tank that i have seen in the sponges so well c if this helps or not how u doin with ur mp40

I'm loving it...thanks....
As far as the pods in the sponges....what I use to do is pick them off and toss them in the tank......the sponge is a good breeding area....
ANOTHER thing I did was seed my other tanks from that.....when cleaning the sponges I would pick the pods off and toss them in the other tanks...never had to buy any pods...they multiply like bunnies LOL
