I thought it would be cool to show some of my progress so far. Here is my eclipse system 12. It has 16 pounds of live rock and 10 pounds of live sand.

Any body have a clue what this is? It doesn't look like it is corralline algae either. I think it might be a sponge.

I got some fish on a week ago. I got a Damsel and a 3 Stripe Damsel. Here are some pictures. Sorry that they are bad, there're from my phone.

You guys make me want to start a nano tank

The good part is I think I got the full go ahead to make a 3 foot by 4 foot by 12 inch deep acrylic frag tank

It's going to me a dim (do-it myself) project but I'm kinda excited. I've worked with acrylic before but more worried about getting the stand and shelf (want my sump off the ground) level.
But yeah... maybe when my daughter gets older she'll want a nano tank ;)

once the damsel is big enough, he's liable to commit a 187 on ur chromis, or vice versa, but, im placin my money on the damsel

I have had success with it.Just do not dose if you have corals.Even though it says reef safe, when I first started out,I dosed it into my dt and almost killed my xenia.

Ok. I don't have any corals. Will my coralline algae be fine? How long did you end up dosing for?

I dosed for about a month.Doing 20% water changes once a week. Not sure about the coralline though,I guess it would be ok.
Do you have to do a 20% water change each week or did you just choose to do that? When you did the water change, did you dose right after it?

patriot, if you have ich, go down in the disease forum, and read the sticked threads that beth posted, those will be your BEST bet for beating this and learning how to do it yourself

It says to do the water change when you are done dosing it.I just do a 15 to 20% water change every week.I would dose it through the week, and then do water changes on the week end.Oh and take into account the amount of live rock you have in your tank.Because lets say you have a 30 gallon aquarium, you do not have 30 gallons of water in it,because of the liverock.Just saying so you do not over dose it.

I agree, ich-attack is a band-aid and will not kill ich in all of its stages. My advice would be to hypo the tank, go read Beth's FAQ in the fish disease/treatment section.

I have read all of her FAQ's. The problem I have with hypo is that I don't have a refractometer to get it down to the right salinty. Would Ich-Attack kill off all of the ich if I use it longer?

I recommend starting a thread in the fish disease/treatment section, both Beth and sep are much better diagnosing and recommending treatments
