That all sounds good to me but I would get the surflows for the maxijets to up the flow rate as 2 maxijets stock are not much flow for a 55gl. What about protien skimmer? Didn't see one listed.

Make that two. Your maxijets are fine. I have a 55 and run a maxi 900 and a maxi 1200. The rest of your list looks good.

Would 500 total watts of heaters plus the mh's be too much for the tank?
