plz help with my lighting

i need help with my lighting in my tank, its a 20 gallon the thing is i want enuf light to support most corals and fish, so the ? is how many wats would you recommend . thank you in advance

is it a 20 tall or long??? If its long then you could go with a simple VHO or PC setup. A 20 long is shallow enough you could support most corals with either of those. However, SPS and clams really should have metal halides to look the best.

I think 150watts VHO would be nice if you don't wanna keep clams. I am planning to order that for my 20 since my lighting is soooooooooooooo weak now. HTH

i have 300 watts VHO on my 20 high. I get great color and everything is doing well even the sps, I might get a clam later down the road. But I just have 1 fish.

It always depends on how much you wanna spend. If you are tight with your budget then go with PC or VHO. If not then MH IMO.
