Poison Ivy

I unfortunately got myself into so poison ivy this weekend and I was wondering how smart it would be to reach into my tank with it all over my arms.
Will this have any negative effects on my arm or more importantly the tank?

I wouldn't think it would affect the tank as long as you don't have any medications on your arms, but I would be weary of placing an open wound into a closed reef system and chance infection. Has happened to me many times with small cuts on my hands especially in ricordea dominated tanks.
