Puffer with fin tarpped inside gill

I'm not sure where to post this as this is not a disease problem. Somehow, my dogfaced puffers fin has been trapped inside his gill. There is no movement in the gill at all and he can only breath thru his other gill. Has anyone ever seen anything like the and have a recommendation as to what to do???

i have never seen anything like that, but i would think that he can not only hurt his fin but damage his gill in the process, if you can catch him, id try to gently pull it loose.....(without gettin bit in the process)

I just recently purchased my little puffer a week ago and it also is doing the same thing. I've noticed it twice now. It sucks in it's fin (as if it gets stuck) and keeps it in for 5-10 minutes. Then, it pulls it back out. I'm not quite sure what is going on either. I've tried looking up an answer, but am still yet to find one....

I've heard of this before. Usually they pull the fin out by themselves.

This happened to me before. All I did was take a net and gently rubbed it on the fin and it popped right out. Good Luck.
