serpent star fish???

Someone gave us a rather big serpent star fish..... what do they eat.... what do they do.... he spends his time (daytime) between rocks next to a peppermint shrimp that he seems to love....

Feed him the peppermint shrimp! mmm... pepermint.

All brittle stars are scavangers and will consume many things including, detritus, any type of fish foods, fish waste, dead meat, shed exoskeletons, from shrimp. anything dead or close to it.

I feed mine krill, scallops, squid, and pellets and it grew from about 3 inches to about 10 inches now. He lives with my diamond goby under the rocks in a cave. I think the goby brings it food sometimes.

As stated above… I also feed mine raw shrimp. Cut them into the size of a pea and spot feed him every two or three days.
Lets see a pic of the big boy.

I don't feed mine! I never see him unless I happen to be rearranging rocks and lift the one he is under.
