Alix,
You have a good memory.
And you are to blame.
I checked out tank sizes after I heard about your upgrade and figured I wasn't buying much with a 55. I was still going to have problems cleaning my glass with only 1 more inch of width than my 29. I believe you mentioned in a previous post that you were getting a nova extreme pro
Do they make it with luna lights? I like the lunas I have now with my 29 gal. Are you getting the 8 bulbs or 6
8 bulbs seems like overkill. 432 watts?
Thanks, Steve
P.S. see, I am no longer using bold
text. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

So how does an overflow fit in to all of this? I am totally ignorant about sumps, fuges, overflows, etc. You have so much in your sump. What would be the ratio in sump to DT size
Would a 29 gal sump be able to handle a 75 gal? Is it hard to make part of it into a fuge like you did?
Steve, here's a link to my DIY sump, built out of a 29 ~ just to give you an idea ~ there are of course lots of others.

I think that a 29 would be ample with a 75 gallon tank. If you buy the drilled tank, get the overflows with it, much easier that way IMO. Does the 75 have one overflow or two? Either way not much different. With the length of the 75 you should have enough room to do something similar, and if you desire, you could use the middle chamber as a skimmer chamber (for an in sump skimmer), and add a seperate fuge (probably better than the flow through design, but under my 65 I just didn't have the room).
