skimmer question...

I've had my skimmer off for a few days and when I turn it back on should I change the water out of it first or just let it back into my tank water?

I had a little red slime problem and finally gave in and added some red slime control and had to turn off my skimmer.

when you turn it back on you will have to readjust the flow. The red slime remover coats the chamber walls of the skimmer making it over flow quite easily. Turn your flow down and gradually increase it over a week's time and you should be back to normal.
