Starfish ID

Ok, so I have to run out and get batteries for my camera, but I wanted to go ahead and post this. Today I turn the light on in my tank and there's a starfish on the glass. It's about half the size of a dime (fairly small I guess). It looks to be white on the bottom, with a darker, maybe blackish gray top. Any ideas? If you do have an idea, could you tell me if I should remove it or keep it? The tank is a coral and fish 12 gallon.

Probably an Asterina sp.. Not really a problem, if you have one, you have many more.

It sorta did. Had an odd number of legs. Haven't seen it since though...

Yup that is how they multiply. They drop legs and the leg becomes a whold new star.

much hate for the thousands of asterinas...although i guess if i didn't have them my tank would be a lot dirtier...
