Is anyone familiar with this anemone?
If you are, please provide me with any advice you can offer.
I have a gorgeous one coming to me next week.
Will my clowns host it?
:notsure:

No, your Clownfish will not host it. Not will it host your Clownfish.
It is a small Carpet Anemone. It's gorgeous and easy to feed. It's as sticky as its full sized cousin so don't touch it with bare hands. It will stick to anything, tongs, gloves, etc. I'd suggest feeding slices of scallops. Just touch the slice to the Anemone and it will grab on & eat it. The more light, the better it will look. The more you feed it the faster it will reproduce.
Post a pic and then send me a clone when it splits :hilarious

They're awesome, don't be scared. I've never had one eat a live fish. I think fish know enough to stay away.

Shwoo...
That is good to know.
The one I am getting looks very similar to the pictures you posted.
I was worried I would have another prolific horror on my hands. I just got my xenia forest under control to one frag on one rock and I do not want another critter I got to corral constantly.
It saddens me it won't host my clowns; at least it will be pretty!
:joy:
I was hoping it would be a new home for them since their hairy mushrooms shrunk to nothing.
