stuff on my livr rock

hello everyone, i have some weird transparent white stuff growing on my live rock.. if some body could please tell me what iit is that would be great

That really isn't much information to go on...could be some sort of sponge?
Does the white stuff look like a slime coating? Is it raised?
Any other info you can give would help. Any chance of taking a picture?

it is a slimy coating of some sort, i dont have a pic..

if it looks like alimey coating and is spreading, tehn it is probably coraline algae, it looks milky white and slimey when it starts(but not transparent)

Although fshub should not drink before he types, LOL, just kidding, and all that, he may be right. Personally, I do not like slimey stuff propogating in my tank if I do not know what it is. Therefore, I fan it off and let the current carry it to the filter, to get rid of it.

If it is coraline, it willnot fan off and you were not kidding, I do drink and type at nite. But my thing is I can't type to start with.
