What are my clowns doing?

I have a Clarki and Cinnamon clown in a 250 gallon tank and a nemo in a 65 gallon tank and they are all doing what I call "burn-out's" in the sand. They get right above the sand and shake their bodies back on forth causing sand storms in both tanks. What are they doing?

You mean you never rented the video "Clowns Gone Wild"! And I thought everyone saw that one by now

I'm not sure what they are doing. My two percs do that in a corner at night.

Its normal, my FM clown sometimes does it and they nest no where near the sand. Their anemone and nest at the top. I dont think anyone is really sure why they do it....

do you have an anemone? they might be using the sand as an anemone if you don't have one ... since that's what they do in anemone's ... shake their bodies and all ...
