What do you want to be when you grow up?

Exactly what I'm doing : music therapy with special needs children and teaching private music lessons out of my own studio. Even as a fourth grader, I knew I wanted to teach music to special Ed students, so as I got older, it got slightly more refined.

Old? hhhmmmm.....I would tend to agree but there are alot of old people who wish they hadn't made it that far. One thing I learned many years ago being a nurse is there are many things in life worse than dying. IMO quality is more important than quanity.
I wanted to be Jacques Cousteau, but the girl version
Then later I wanted to be a veterinarian. Lots of reason why the vet didn't happen, now I regret that I didn't go thru with it.
Blackjacktang--what do you want to be? If I remember correctly you are fairly young and have limitless possibilities.

Stock Broker, or Banker:
I have always been into finance and money. Even as a little kid, I remember getting my first allowance while we were on a day trip. My brother blew his in about 1 minute, and I remember walking around this beach tourist store saying to my self, "I don't want to spend any of MY money on this stuff". LOL.
I ended up working for a very large bank (of America) and for the first 7 years It was my dream job. I am the only one of my friends that can say that I have seen and been in charge of over a million dollars cash and counted it by hand. But big business is not all its cracked up to be. I now work for a small family company and love it. I am in charge of the finance here so I still get to do what I love.

I think you made it Darth...you crack me up on a regular basis.
Since I couldn't be "independently wealthy", as a kid, I wanted to be a musician or a scientist.
I used to play music for a living, and still play, so I guess I did that. I'm also a sr. microelectronic component engineer/failure analyst in the aerospace industry, so I guess I accomplished both of my "dreams" in a way...

Ok, I dreamed of being a fireman (Dad was one) truck driver, pilot.
passed the firemans exam in the top 5% got the call to go to work for the fire department and the railroad on the same day, my first paycheck on the RR was bigger than the last one my Dad got with 23 years of service...
Flew lot's of single engine growing up, and drove a truck a little bit, I think I did good sticking with the RR!
