what is this

Can anyone tell me what this is? Should i have it in my tank? It piggied back in on another piece of coral and is moving around? Also how do We promote better algae growth. I am getting the reddish brown algae now.

Looks like Majano Anemone. A pest that will proliferate in your tank. Best to get rid of it now before it does. Do a search here on the boards for multiple ways to eradicate them.

I agree. Majanos dont really move unless they are multiplying. A BTA will move to a spot for better light.

well either way it is gone now seems that boiling water is quite effective, i will try to get a better camera for my questions from now on thanks for the replys
