what kinda sand to mix with live sand?

Was wondering what kinda of "dead" sand you would mix with currant live sand?
Say I wanted to get a biger tank but not shell out the$$$$$$ for x amount of live sand?

u want aragonite sugar sized sand.

i just orderd some caribsea special reef sand (dead) from the doctors sight, for like $35 for 40 lbs, iver heard its excellent stuff

I'm getting some sand at ***** tomorrow that comes in little bags for $7 for 10 lbs. Dunno the name yet, but i'll update this when i get it

how much do you need?
if your talking 30-50pds, try home depot.
go out side and look for the yardright/southdown/oldcastle name
its one of those.

Well I guess my real question is can it be any kind of sand or does it have to be some kind of crushed coral?I know my sand now is crused coral type sand.
I know that regular play sand is not good . Right? :help:
