Why Maxijet powerheads are better?

what are the reasons? and how many and what model should i have on my 30 galleon?

From what I hear they're very reliable and work well. if you have a skimmer 1 would do it.

minimal wattage and heat output. very reliable also. the 1200 is about a 300 gph turnover. you want 10-20x turnover (300-600gph) per hour depending on who you ask. if your tank is 30 gal, take the gph of your main filtration system and add the gph of whichever model suits your need to meed the 10-20x turnover.

I don't have one yet, so I don't know about models.

the 900 has the best GPH/watt usage ratio. I would get that. I have both a 900 and a 1200 and I don't really notice to much of a difference.

just so you can see the differences.There is a huge jump in Watts used between the 1200 and the 900.
