worm issues?

i saw some sort of red worm attached to a clam i put in my tank for my fish food. i saw the worm/centapede thing when all the lights were off and when it turned the lights on it went into a hole in a rock. the worm thing was definitly eatin the clam. i know that there are bad worms but i dont know what to do because i want this out of my tank. what exactly is this worm thiny

do a search on brissle worms. They are a good thing as long as they arent 12 inches long. Just dont touch them, they will sting you.

well i heard that once they are big they are a huge problem so i want it out now because they are carnivores and eat anything. i also heard they grow to 24 inches and grow fast. if you saw one in your aquarium would you just leave it?

yes, I have lots. The biggest I have ever seen is about 4 inches. They stay in the rocks and only eat leftovers. The only thing I do is move the bigger ones from my seahorse tank to my reef tank.
