  • Maidens hair is a lovely algae the moves with the current. It sometimes is mistaken for types of hair algae but on second looks you can tell its not. It does not handle phosphates well at all. it also reproduces slowly. As its growing the older maidens hair dies and a new patch grows next to it, slowly replacing the older hair. I love this stuff and it seems to be an attractant¬†for copepods and other little critters. ¬†
