I have a BioCube 29G and just added some invertebrates.
Wanting to get more, but not sure just how much is too much..

Currently Have:
  • 3x Bumble Bee snails (tiny)
  • 1x Turbo Snail
  • 1x Hermit Crab (Not sure which but hes small and looks plain)
  • 1x Astrea Snail
  • 4x Nassarius Snails
  • 1x Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
  • 1x Fire Shrimp
I want some cool-looking inverts that have nice colors/designs.
Any ideas?

Define inverts? There are crabs, snails, shrimp, then u have clam, feather dusters, corals, scallops, ect

i want whatever I can have.
I like them all!
Haven't gotten my crabs yet (lol) because I want to see approximately how many more inverts I can place in the tank.
I was told clams are very difficult to take care of and are not for beginner tanks, so I am looking more into the crabs, shrimp, and snails.
Also, I know NOTHING about feather dusters and scallops :(

I have a deep sand bed of bahamas oolite sand.
40 lbs of it.. I would say about 3-4 inch sand bed.

I have 4 nassarius already, should I get more?

Yes, hermits def. The shrimp really more personal choice. Myself I would get another skunk.

There's no practical limit to the number of inverts. The problem is that so many of them eat each other as expensive snacks.

For example, Bumble Bee Snails will eat beneficial Worms, Snails, and other inverts that they can catch.

i like them theyre cool.. my fire shrimp has still not come out of hiding for 3 days now.. he was expensive and clearly not worth it o_O
Fire Shrimp are nocturnal. They will not naturally come out when the lights are on.

Hand feeding them will sometimes work to encourage them to be visible during the day.
