Its got to be over a 100gal, or he would have a blood bath. If its smaller then its more of "when" he has a blood bath.
I have a large maroon, honestly model citizen, but that seems to be the exception more than rule

Yes thanks silver. I don't think I said 110. And by get rid of I meant bring it back to the LPS. I do have a small holding tank if need be,

Well guys I took the chance. Today makes day 1. The Tomatos are a little smaller then the Gold Stripe. I thought it would be better to get the Gold Stripe a little bigger than the Tomatos. While acclimating the Gold Stripe I rearranged the rocks and turned off the lights. The Gold Stripe claimed his cave and they are leaving each other alone. Just as long as the Tomatos don't invade his space. No issues so far. My friend at the local fish club I belong to said even if this works, I could still have some scrapping sometimes mainly during feeding. I have the breeder tank ready and will keep y'all posted.

All I can say is I hope you beat the 1 chance in 200 where it works out. I'm surprised you still did it after everyone who has ever kept Clownfish said it's not going to work.

Live and learn. Too bad it'll be at the fishes expense. It's not the cost, it's the life lost that concerns me.

I mean I know this hobby is a constant learning curve with trial and error but why take that kind of a chance with an animal when you know the odds are stacked heavily against success in the first place?

Its like mixing dwarf angels and tangs. Tangs is much more common and workable. Yet not close to a guarantee. Dwarf angels very rarely mix well. Yet people still try. I have a black and white clown. Its partner carpet surfed a yr ago. I still think about adding another but I just don't wana chance it, and these are passive clowns

Just to make sure I understand, you are talking about mixing multiple tangs or multiple dwarf angels not tangs and dwarf angles right?

Lol yes. The two get along fine generally. Although I had a kole tang that didn't like my coral beauty angel

Good because I just bought a bicolor angel and a tomini tang. They are in different tanks now but once quarantine is over they will be together in my 125.

I pretty sure I am a odd person in here, I do know your guy are better than me, but every time I went to *****, i always saw at least 3 clowns in any tanks, as matter of fact, the 2 inches B&W Clown that i brought in January from *****, that tank have three B&W clowns, and I almost brought two, but change my mind after I saw the Sailfin Tang. To me, getting more clowns are same chance getting any other fish.

Buying from ***** is your first mistake.
Secondly in fish stores fish don't have time to establish territory's bc of the constant change of fish in fish out. Once established in there own tank is when issues arise

The two Maroons I also brought from ***** at the same tank in May of 2014, those two are the fish survive 4 ICH attacked. Snake just have two clowns like 10 days ago. You may have bad experience with *****, but I don't.

Honestly all fish , not many I've gotten from ***** have been fine. That said I've seen and heard far more bad then good about *****. Last time there ich was rampant. Again just bc a fish store has certain fish together doesn't mean it will wrk long term
