I and several others have dual GFO canisters from BRS. I use the High-Capacity GFO from BRS. A bit pricey, but lasts longer than standard GFO. Just got a 1/2 gallon jug in today, which should last a minimum of 6 months in my 125 and 40 gallon tanks if I change it out every 6 weeks. I also run GAC in the second canister to remove tannins, odors, and other nasties from the water. I had to purchase a Mag-Drive 3 pump to get proper flow through the HC GFO and GAC, as the MJ100 pump that is optional with the kit wasn't going to be strong enough to tumble the amount of GFO I need to run. The good folks at BRS were nice enough to point that out...

Mine is a BRS dual reactor. It has GFO in the firs canister and carbon in the second. I ordered it with a pump. From bulk reef supply. I also us their GFO and carbon

How often do you change your GFO I use the regular GFO. I go 6 weeks and 2 for carbon. I'm going to have to place an order for more tomorrow as well as some other supply.
I noticed in the last week or so the hair algae is almost gone and the bubble algae is also dying off. And coraline has exploded. I think GFO has played a big part in that.

To be honest, I haven't kept up with the timeframe lately. When I first started using it, I changed it every 6-8 weeks. Now, I change it when I notice I have to clean algae off the glass more than normal... lol!
