how do I QT inverts? Since they can't be in copper what do I do? I want some hermits and maybe a shrimp, I don't know but how to QT THEM?

30 days in a QT tank with no meds should do it. I don't QT inverts, some people do. They don't get fish diseases so they can't infect your fish. There is a small risk they can bring in a parasite stuck to their body. I've never had that happen but I have read accounts by others who have attributed an outbreak of ich or another disease to a new invert.

No. Smaller inverts are very sensitive to low salinity.

Is shrimp hard shelled? If not then I might get some peppermint and a cleaner, I just want to be safe cause it's my first time doing this.
