I have never had it happen in saltwater, but my piranhas have broken a few with no bad results. There is no mercury in it, and as stated mercury is not as horrible as most people make it out to be.

At night when it has its feeder tentacles out. I use a baster for spot feeding. Works for me.

20000k is more white blue. 10000k is more yellow. Most people it seems get better growth with 10000k. I personally like the color of 20000k.
