    Sick Seahorse

Diamox is a human medication. Do you know a doctor that will call in just a couple of tabs for you? I'd lower it to at least 70F but that's just me. Do you have buffer to bring it up?

    Sick Seahorse

I think it's a symptom of something else going on. How's the water parameters (I'm sure they are ok, knowing you)? You might want to lower the temp for now too; at least it won't hurt. If it were me, I wouldn't stress the seahorse out by moving him until you get the medicine. I can make a run...

    1st batch of homemade LR!

I love the toilet tank method! I'm going to do that; takes no thought at all just need to remember about it. I'm also going to use the light diffuser and rock rubble to make a verticle wall (in small sections) for the back of my tank wall. That wall will hopefully end up being my background...

My friend that has a predator tank took him. He is now living happily with others of his own kind.

    SeaHare ADVICE NEEDED :)

Yep, acclimate. I've got a seahare that I move from tank to tank. He's never had it better than he has with me. I saw him out today and looked him over but forgot that I wanted to move him to one of my seahorse tanks.

    Acrylic tank owners!!!

My friend's youngest son just cleaned his new acrylic tank. He got the pad near the sand and got a grain inbetween the pad and the acrylic. He now has some terrible scratches in it.

    My beginnings

I've read that some people use nylon hitches in their fry tanks, so it should be ok with DSH. I've found that my DSH love to hitch on either the stems of macroalgae or a dried seafan that I have in the tank. Sounds like you are getting there!! IIRC, it is advised not to use anything with...

    breeding seahorses need info please

If you don't already have a love for seahorses, it's not worth it. The costs associated with breeding them as well as the huge investment in time isn't worth what you'll be able to sell them for. Want to make extra money? You'd do better at having a second job. You'd put in the same amount of...

Want 2 give it another shot....

+1 on not mixing species even if from the same breeder. You know you're most likely going to have to get a chiller for your tank. I'm sure that during the summer in AZ you run your air conditioning, but if your tank is running 72-74 now come July it's going to be too warm for your horse. She...

Okay, what is he and what should I do with him? Here are my options: 1. put him in a tank with my wartskin anglerfish (A. maculatus) 2. put him in one of my sump/refugiums 3. give him to a friend that has a predator tank 4. put him in my reef tank Thanks!

    My beginnings

In my tank I have areas of both high and low flow. I have some ponies that seem to love the high flow areas. It is rather startling at first to see the little guys thrown across the tank because of the flow but then funny to see them go back again and again. It's almost like they are getting...
