    How Much Did It Cost?

well about 6 months ago i actually wrote up a sheet on how much i have spent on my 55 reef alone and when it got to $1800 i stopped counting. So now i am sure it is way over 2000. It seems like it isnt that much at first but add it up. on second thought, don't add it up and it wont be such a big...

    Dragon eel and clown trigger?

I was wondering if could keep a hawiian dragon in with a fairly decent sized clown trigger about 5 to 6 inches or so. Does anyone think this could work or would the eel attack the clown? I have read about them being that mean in other posts but was thinknig this could work out.

    horshoe crabs

Yeah actually I do know a little about them. First off they come from an area with shallow water with lots of sand room to dig in and hide. They need a LARGE tank when they are full grown and can reach lengthes of over a foot. I personally do not think anyone should keep a full grown one an a...

    Aggressive Tang

id have to go with a sohol or a naso if it s a bigger tank. Sohols can be fairly aggresive their self so other aggresive fish shouldnt bother them as much. And naso are just plainly a big fish that can handle its self if it is big enough.

    Will PEPPERMINT SHRIMP work?

Rooksy, You may depending on your experience with harder to keep fish try a butterfly. Many butterflies will eat them as well. My personal choice would be with a yellow longnose or copperband since sometimes you can get away with having these in a reef. But for the easy way out the shrimp hafta...

    Will PEPPERMINT SHRIMP work?

BenTrue, Aiptasia are actually a small type of anemone that can reproduce at a very rapid rate. They reproduce by themselves so it only takes one to infest your entire tank. They are bad because of their sting which can injure and kill all coral that touch it. They are small and mushroom like...

Help..My Brittle star is falling apart.

If you acclimated it for an hour I would have to say that is it again. I usually acclimate any star for at least 4 hours. Usually brittle stars arent that hard to acclimate and I know people that just throw them in and they do fine Maybe you just got unlucky. Next time acclimate it longer and I...

Help..My Brittle star is falling apart.

This usually accurs if you acclimate stars too quickly. They can get bubbles to develop in there bodies as well just like a diver would get the bends or could get a nitrogen bubble if they come up too fast. It is because their body cant handle the changing conditions. When acclimating stars it...

Do any of your fish bite each other

I agree we need more info on this but I have found that tangs seem to bite alot at other tangs more than other fish. This is usually happens if you have alot of different species of tang together. Which my tangs always pick on each other and bite because they are cramped. They soon will be moved...

    Aeration?

Hey no problem. Actually I had the same problem when I first started my tank. I guess I was used to fresh water and I had always aerated it so I did the same with my saltwater. I soon realized that all it was good for was making bubbles stick to rocks and making the water cloudy. Atleast you...

    Black Ribbon Eel

Ok I was wondering what a black ribbon eel's lifespan is. My lfs has one in the back and has had it ever since it was little bitty. They claim to have had it for 6 years. The girl that works there is one of my friends and offered it to me for 45 bucks since she was going to keep it for herself...
