alright,lets back up.. first sw tank 30gal 40lbs live sand 60-70lbs live rock since dec 05. couple of snails, hermits an urchin feather duster, cleaner shrimp, yellow watchman goby, lawn mower blenny, purple pseudo, and flame angle. snails hermits and damsels were first but the damsels(2) died...

easiest way would be to fill up the tank and then add all ur stuff(rock sand whatever) and measure the displacement because the rock hold water inside them and the sand isnt a solid 3 inches. IMO its a little impractical to be that precise but its your railroad. hope u guys dont hurt urslefs...

i had the same problem. bought some phosphate remover pellets, whiped off what i could, and a lawn mower blenny. after 2-3 weeks not a spot left. of course my tank is a 30gal and my phosphates were about 0.1.. good luck

u can also cover the tank in glad plastic wrap.. and id go with the spray latex base

just got home and noticed that my cleaner shrimp has a lot of black spots all over his sides. the last cleaner shrimp i bought had two black spots. This one didnt have any when i bought it a week ago. what are these spots and what causes this?? he is also curling up and trying to clean...
