    What kinda calm am I.

Very nice clam! I just got one that looks identical to the one you have but only about 2"-2.5"... the LFS got a ton of flame angels and clams in and sold each of them for $19... I couldn't believe my eyes... Already got a flame angel so I grabbed one of the two clams they had left when I got...

    My new RBTA

I don't know about the "captive bred" part being an issue but usually O. clowns don't host the bubble tip anemones. They are not naturally found together being the reason as I understand it. That being said... My pair love their GBTA Also, I love the RBTA, beautiful!

    Tough ID

Alrighty, its tough because I haven't got a good enough picture of it. I guess... what is more likely as a hitchhiker, a pink/red colored ric or RBTA? It is very small, a little less than a quarter inch and looks like a zoo when it is close up. When it is open it has a small bubbly surface which...

    New Tank! Any Suggestions?

It's all about the nitrogen cycle (research). The nitrogen cycle is both simple and extremely complicated. I found it easier to buy a few good pieces and stick them in the tank. This kinda takes the place of the shrimp and if the live rock is cured well (research) before going in your tank, it...

    Too much lighting?

    Too much lighting?

Is 432 watts too much for a 48" tank? Can you actually have too much? That is 8 bulbs of T5 and I could get half a fixture for 1/3 less cash. I don't know what I will be keeping in my new tank yet, still looking at options but I am sure that I will migrate toward SPS and clams eventually. Bulbs...

    Tube worm?

Cool beans, thanks for the response. And nice call, not quite a mature tank yet. Only have 3 months on this one.

    Tube worm?

Over the past week or two these very small (1/8") tube worm looking things have started to appear on my back wall. They are bleach white and the tube goes in almost a complete circle. There is a very small fan on one side. My question is... are these pests or should I not worry about them.

    I am *DONE* with Firefish!

My firefish likes to hide in the live rock. When I say in the live rock I mean he goes into a hole in the side of one boulder and goes in enough to not be seen. He stays there all night every night and through much of most days. Hope for the best, maybe he just has a good hiding place.

    Too heavy?

I haven't set up the tank yet because I haven't moved in yet... its brand spanking new. I have a stud finder, I assume this would work on the floor as well? Now to create a fish list for it...

    Too heavy?

I think I will assume it to weigh around 1200 lbs, thats about 10g worth of water in the sump tank after displacement and after displacement and rock in the main tank. The stand doesn't have legs really but rests along the four sides. I believe I should be able to cover 3 joists with the 4ft...

    Too heavy?

Wow, thanks for the fast responses. It should just be standard floor joist flooring and I DID leave out the equipment somehow in my calculations. 1100-1200 sounds right now. I believe that the wall I want this on is running against the joists which sounds perfect. Thanks again!

    Too heavy?

Would a 90g be too much weight to be placed on the third floor? I estimate total weight with stand, rock, and sand to be around 800 which would make it a little less than a pound per square inch. (48x18 footprint)
