Tang was healthy and always hung out...
Yea the reason I asked was I had a hermit kill a huge powder blue tang several years ago when I had a FO tank. I didn't think Emeralds had a rep for aggression but this guy is starting to look like saltwater version of the incredible hulk.
I bought two about 3 months ago, one has stayed relaively the same size ...the other well he is HUGE! He just molted and I cannnot believe how big he is...he is 3 to 4 times the size he was when I put him in the tank---Any danger of him getting too big and taking down live stock?
Yes it is fungia species, I thought the shrimp may be starving too so I I have been feeding them daily but one of them keeps crawiling on the plate...runs when he sees me coming.
a plate coral? Not sure if mine is or if he's cleaning it???? He seems to be all over it but just can't tell if he's actually removing flesh or not.
Any experience with this?
Thanks
Skimmer has been online for about 4 days and is producing very little to nothing--Adjustment pipe is all the way up, hadn't heard that pump could be too fast, interesting.
Maybe the turbulent water is because my return pump is so close to the intake of the skimmer pump. I have an external on the...
Is there suppose to be any foam located at the pump intake on the euro reef ES5-3? Ive noticed turbelence at the intake and that equates to bubbles in the tank. There was a piece of foam there when it was shipped But I ASSumed it was just protecting the PVC fitting during shipment.
Thanks Bang Guy, been so busy reading equipment set up threads that I have not brushed up on the many different species. My tank has only been set up a few months and I'm starting to see stuff grow out of my rock...so much to learn so little time.
When they say foot print is 9x9 does anyone know if it is actually a full 9 inches all the way around or just at it's widest point...I assume from one side of pump to opposite side of canister is the full 9 in...
That sounds pretty stupid but my sump is 9.5" wide by 11" long where the skimmer...
Anyone have one of these? I am considering it for my 60 gallon for several reasons including size. My sump space is limited and this skimmer only being 20" tall with a 9x9" footprint may just be what I need.
Any opinons on this skimmer for a 60 gallon tank? I have read alot of threads and...
