I drained all of my water that I could into a 36 gallon trash can and put my LR, Inverts in the can with a powerhead. I then removed my CC wtih a net. When that was out I poured the sand directly into the tank. Any loose particles floating around I dipped out with the net. I then returned...

hydrometer ? I posted on other boards also

I didn't know where to put this,so it is a couple of places. Have you ever heard of a hydrometer that floats adn measures temp. How accurate are they and will they work for hypo. The hydrometer cost about $10. I am not sure if it will be accurate enough. The LFS says it is accurate. Thanks.

Terry I am not sure if the LFS have them or not I will check tomorrow. I know they don't carry the cupramine cooper I have already checked. I am going to go ahead and start the Maracyn-two tonight since his fins look like they are rotting off, and will check the other things tomorrow. thanks...

    fin rot and ick question

I have a tang that got ick back in Feb. I started hypo and the ick disappeared. Using a swing arm hydrometer was not accurate enough so the ick came back. The first week of April I was out of town so I left the tang alone and hoped he would be alive when I returned. upon returning he was still...

    mis-information

Flame, overcrowding was not the cause of the ich out break. That is unless 1 tang in a 55 by itselve is overcrowding. The tang was the only fish in the tank. In the Q-tank I thought he was getting better, the water was at a tad under 1.009 and above 1.008 and the ich came back. I will now...
