About circulaton I would say that you are not over board i am circulating my tank with my return and the power heads in the tank about 20 times an hour and my tank is 150 gallons. The more the better when you have alot of lr get the power heads behind the rock to blow the detririuos off so it...

Thank you all for your help I was also thinking that it would be almost imposble to be reading 0 for alkalinity. I will try a new test kit maybe mine is old or just a crappy type. I am using red Sea's Marine lab test kit I think it is.
