Many fish stores don't have trouble because they put so many fish into the tanks that the fish have no room to create their own territory. (Not reccommended). They are also not there for life, only a short time hopefully. :)

I also read somewhere (take it for whats it worth) that if you don't have room for these, that two small pipes/tubing one inserted into another creates a dead space for the pods to be protected and to reproduce.? Put it on the sand, behind the rocks so only tiny stuff can enter. I guess it...

Mine has had algae grow on it if itdidn't open up due to being pissed at me (for moving it around or such). ;) I just made sure a good current was on it and yes then I put my scarlet reef hermit on top a then he eats the algae and the next day my leather is opened up again! :)

We've been pumping from a 5 gallon forever. It works great! Saves having to fill the kalk everyday! My kalk stays at 440.

50# will not be too much! I just got 80# in my 55 and it is just a bit much (I need to break a couple). I'd get one box, then get a few pieces locally to fill in where needed! That's what we did. :D

You should be able to keep them emersed into the tank water and should be fine. Be sure that it stays a correct temp and doesn't get real cold overnite. Anyone else?

My percs. did it for 3 days when I first got them. Back and forth across the tank over and over and over! Be careful though, your other damsels may start to pick on him. Watch them closely!!! :rolleyes:

On the safety side, I'd start feeding your fish garlic soaked food if your not already. If he only does it near the crab or clowns it could be a submissive action also?

I have no personal experience with them, but have never read anything positive about them either. NOT REEF SAFE. Try the search engine to locate other info.

I have used crushed organic w/juice added to food (soaked it about 5 min at least). Fed to tank (tangs now eat the chunks of garlic and clowns spit it out) Tangs have never shown ick, clowns have ;) ) The garlic extract from most grocery stores work also. I soak food once a week w/zoe vitamins...

I made the same mistake a long time ago! I had to eventually tear down 125# of lr to get rid of him. My clowns were being harrassed! You won't get as much as you paid, but it is worth getting them out of your tank. Call around to your lfs and find someone who will.

Depends on the fish!! I had to feed the tank for a week w/nets in it for my tangs. One clown immediately after the main lights went out (still dumbfounded by the light change). One clown only at 3:00am when he was sleeping! They can get smart real fast! My hippo is impossible! To shy ...

IMO. Take the damsels back to the lfs. I love the clown fish and you can have a couple of percs. but not with damsels. They become very aggressive and mean and will chase and stress out your other fish (causing diseases).
