I have an ASM-g1 and it has only been running about a day but I love it already. It had stuff rising to the top of the collection cup about 10 mins. after I started it up. Very nice set up. I know on other sites people swear by them. Very good skimmers. nice chooice. Dustin

I am wanting to get a few retro fits, but I am trying to decide to use t-5's or halides. I have heard that by having 5-6, t-5's Is like having a metal halide, or it puts out the same amount of light. Is this true?

I was just wondering how many t-5's I could fit under my 75 gallon standard hood. Its a canope and its just as wide and long as the tank. I want 48 inch t-5's. What do you all think?

I agree, but if it isnt, i would think you could drill both holes in the sam corner that way you dont have a ton of plumbing and you can also just but something over one side and not have to worry about any thing else. My 75 gallon has both holes drilled in the same corner

I wouldnt recommend using pc for clams, they need a very high out put light.

I was just wondeering if a 250 metal halide would be enough light so that I could haave clams and sps corals In my 75 gallon reef tank. I will also have some VHO's but I was just wondering if I could use one 250 watt, or if It would be better to go with a couple 150.

If you want to get bta I wouldnt go with this type of lighting. I personaly have seen a 300 gallon tank run on VHO's and they had a huge carpet anenome.(spelling) If you are looking to get some corals and an anenome I would look to get at the very least VHO's. Some might agree with me some...

I am thinking about going with 4 110watt VHO's on this system but I would also want to go with a 250 metal halide some time. What do you all think? Coudl I run this system on all the 4 VHO's alone and keep most anything but hard corals and clams?

It might be just me, but i dont think that it is a good idea to keep one fish in a qt tank and have is go through all those treatments. Just what I think though we will see what other say

I was looking on this site and couldnt find any parts for skimmers does any one know or help me find some parts to my ASM-1 skimmer please? I am missing the U tube that connects the pump to the skimmer. Please any help would be awsome. Dustin
