55 or 120 is still too small, naso tangs are one of the larger tang...

Why add a clown thats bigger? If his tomato is a female already and you add another female then you have a problem. Clownfish dont go back to being a male most of the time. So you try to get a smaller clown (male) so they would pair up, although you would see some aggresion at first.

I will be starting up a small nano reef tank soon (5 gallons). I want to keep corals and maybe clams (I will have MH lighting, When they grow larger they will be placed in my 125g). While doing a search I came across a nano-skimmer, its a really small protein skimmer and it would be perfect for...
I have 5 green chromis in my 125. IMO they are the prettiest and most active fish you could get, and they are the cheapest too! :joy: They constantly swim back and forth towards the front of the tank always in full veiw. I had purple chromis back when my 75 gallon was a reef, they always hung...
........
I really dont want an aquapod or nanocube or anything like that! I just want to know if i can run a reef with a skimmer and LR/LS as my filtration.......
This will be a desktop tank, so I was looking at smaller then 10 gallons. I dont need to have a goby, some shrimps would do. No aquapods or nano cubes, I want a rectangular tank, not cube. That said, will this filtration work or not?

Its not just LR... I'm gonna run a protein skimmer. And I'm going for high light demanding corals that a nano cube's lighting cant sustain.
Well.. I dont know what happened but he didnt make it. He was eating fine and looked to be healing up. I guess there was too much stress for the poor guy.

So my question is: Can I run a nano...

No, I dont think so. Copepods and Isopods are little critters, these look like tunicates of some sort.

Not quite, it really depends on the fish thats in the tank. Triggers and puffers that I have observed are always biting rocks, an acropora is just another rock to them. I have...
I dont think all corals will like having a clown constantly rub on them, although some do. Some corals might become stressed, so watch carefully if you start seeing a recession in the coral after it hosts. Then your gonna have to move the coral away from it. Some clowns can be rough with their...

Doh! Well...
I have a cat and fish. She likes to watch them but never climbs up to fish em out. Although, its kinda hard to find fish after they go carpet surfing Other than that my cat behaves fine with my fish.
