I don't understand why people strive for soo much purple coraline algae once you get it its spreads like a wildfire over the glass etc and there aren't alot of animals that eat it so why would you want your entire tank purple just buy a couple of large monti-encrusting corals to add some prurple...

Start off by getting fish that are easy to care for imo for beginners like clown fish they are not too pricey and easy to care for.

Update: Ammonia-0,nitrite 0.2, nitrate 20 ppm...when is it safe to put into my dt and considered cured completely..also to be on the safe side should i add the 45 lb's in 3 segments ? or all at once is ok ?

yeah i have no idea how to fix it i have a super skimmer and a mag 12...ill get it done eventually..for now i had to move the tree sponges into my other tank...untill i resolve the problem.

update its been 5 days with copper treatment but little improvment still visable white spots all ove rthe body face and fins of this tang..the PH is in there and the copper has bean stable at 2.0 ppm for 5 days using mardel copper-safe. any reason torasie the level or after 5 days this is normal...
